THE FEAST DAY OF PANAGIA DESPINA, Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 Annual Dance/Panigiri of Panagia Despina, Saturday, September 12, 2009 We cordially invite all of you to celebrate the feast day of the Nativity of the Theotokos, which is our traditional annual Panigiri every September 8th in our village of Kambia. This year, on Tuesday, September 8th, the Divine Liturgy and Artoklasia will be held at the Chapel of Panagia Despina, which was built from the donations of our members, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension, 101 Anderson Avenue in Fairview, New Jersey. The Divine Liturgy will take place from 9:00-11:45 AM. Rev. Christos Pappas will perform the services.
On Saturday, September 12, 2009, Vesper Services and Artoklasia will be held at 7:30PM at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension. Immediately following in the church hall, our traditional entree and a buffet dinner with many hors d’oeuvres along with drinks, dessert and coffee will be served. Lefteris Bournias, on the clarinet, and our fellow Kambousi Christos Psarros, on the bouzouki, will provide the entertainment with their orchestra. The Donation price for the evening is only $45.00 and anyone under 12 years old will be admitted free of charge.
We will also be holding a drawing with cash prizes for $10.00 each ticket. Anyone who has purchased or sold tickets for the drawing may return the proceeds and the ticket stubs to our society's address above by September 5th, or bring them to the dance.
We ask that you please reserve a table, as early as possible, to ensure that you are seated properly at the event. To reserve a table, please call Dimitrios B. Kontolios at (201) 960-9260, or any of our Representatives as soon as possible.
Our objective is to bring all of us together again for our traditional Panigiri and to experience another unforgettable Kambousiko evening...
(Greek Fonts) Πανηγυρική Θεία Λειτουργία µε Αρτοκλασία, Τρίτη 8 Σεπτεµβρίου 2009 Πανηγύρι/Χορός της Παναγίας Δέσποινας, Σάββατο, 12 Σεπτεμβρίου 2009
Mε ξεχωριστή τιµή και ευχαρίστηση, σας προσκαλούμε όλους για να συνεορτάσουμε το Πανηγύρι του Χωριού μας, που ως γνωστόν γίνεται κάθε χρόνο προς τιμή των γενεθλίων της Παναγίας Δέσποινας.
Εφέτος την Τρίτη 8 Σεπτεµβρίου, ανήµερα της εορτής, θα τελεστεί από 9-11:30 π.µ. πανηγυρική Θεία Λειτουργία µε Αρτοκλασία από τον Πάτερ Χρήστο Παππά στο Παρεκκλήσι της Παναγίας ∆έσποινας που χτίστηκε με τις δωρεές από των μελών του Συλλόγου µας και βρίσκεται εντός του ιερού ναού της Θείας Αναλήψεως του Σωτήρος, 101 Anderson Ave στο Fairview, New Jersey.
Το Σάββατο 12 Σεπτεµβρίου και ώρα 7:30 µ.µ. θα τελεστεί πανηγυρικός Εσπερινός µε Αρτοκλασία στο ναό της Θείας Αναλήψεως του Σωτήρος. Αμέσως μετά θα ακολουθήσει στην κοινοτική αίθουσα παραδοσιακό γλέντι εις ανάµνηση του πανηγυριού που κάθε χρόνο γίνεται στο χωριό µας. Θα σερβιρηστεί το πατροπαράδοτο φαγητό μας, μοσχάρι με πατάτες, πλούσιο γεύμα από μπουφέ που θα αποτελήται από νόστιμα και διαλεκτά μεζεδάκια. Επίσης θα προσφερθούν ποτά, γλυκά, και καφές. Θα διασκεδάσουμε με τον Λευτέρη Μπουρνιά στο κλαρίνο και τον συγχωριανό μας τον Χρήστο Ψαρρό στο μπουζούκι. Η τιμή του εισιτηρίου θα είναι μόνο $45.00, το άτομο. Στην τιµή περιλαµβάνονται τα πάντα καί για παιδιά κάτω των 12 ετών, όλα είναι δωρεάν.
Επίσης θα έχουμε πλούσιο λαχείο. Παρακαλούνται όσοι έχουν λαχεία, να επιστρέψουν τα διπλότυπα, μαζύ με τα χρήματα, μέχρι της 5 Σεπτεμβρίου, ή να τα φέρετε στην αίθουσα του χορού.
